A World of Changes
Let's dive into the specifics. Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, we're getting a glimpse into the world of Monstropolis, a new land that's sure to thrill fans of the Monsters, Inc. franchise. And over in EPCOT, we're witnessing the arrival of solar-powered trash cans, a small but significant step towards sustainability. Meanwhile, Animal Kingdom is set to delight animal lovers with an upcoming change.
Closures and Refurbishments
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. There are closures and refurbishments to navigate, too. In Magic Kingdom, Pete's Silly Sideshow and Big Top Souvenirs are temporarily unavailable, with no reopening date in sight. And the Liberty Square Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Rivers of America have permanently closed to make way for the new Cars-themed area, Piston Peak.
Hollywood Studios' Makeover
Disney's Hollywood Studios is undergoing a transformation. Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is also undergoing work, with exterior elevator landing repairs ongoing.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort is seeing dining location closures for most of the year, with The Turf Club Lounge and Turf Club Patio undergoing refurbishments. The Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort is also closed for refurbishment, with the leisure pools at both the Yacht Club and Beach Club Resort closed for maintenance.
The Promenade Fine Art Gallery on Disney's BoardWalk is moving locations, and we're curious to see what 'Project Bubbles' and 'Project Amazon' will bring to the resort. And the popular dueling piano bar, Jellyrolls, has closed at Disney's BoardWalk, but it's not gone forever - it's moving to a new location and set to reopen in late summer or fall of 2026.
